SIZE INCLUSIVITY

Changing industry size standards

Our designs are grounded on comfort and confidence. Our bikinis are long-lasting, timeless and are designed for a lot more people than bikinis with a standardised size chart.

Instead of offering sizes native to the initial bra sizing system, we wanted to offer a size chart that merges cup sizes with overlapping volume. More than 50 bra sizes are represented in our size chart.

SUSTAINABILITY

Dedication and lifelong learning

We dedicated considerable effort to establish an ethically conscious supply chain, successfully ensuring that all sourcing and production activities are confined within the boundaries of the European Union.

We also understand that the lifetime of our bikinis plays a crucial role in reducing their sustainable footprint. That is why we searched for a recycled fabric that does not give in easily and a design that is timeless.

FABRIC

Durable and resource-saving? Yes!

For our swimwear, we decided to use a fabric that combines the resource-saving properties of recycled nylon and the durable characteristics of the XLANCE® technology. To obtain the shape retention and stretch that are characteristic of swimwear, nylon needs to be blended, usually with elastane. But, elastane is a sensitive fibre, that does not like UV rays, heat nor chlorine. It will easily fragment over time, leaving you with stretched-out garments and lots of microplastic.

So, to create durable products that keep its stretch over time and to reduce the negative impact that our products have on the environment, we choose to work with a fabric where ECONYL® (80%) meets XLANCE® (20%).

The fabric is sourced from Italy where the manufacturer is operating on 100% renewable energies.

ECONYL®

Recycled, reused, reloved

ECONYL® is a trademark of the AQUAFIL Group. It is recycled polyamide that is produced by regenerating discarded nylon waste, such as fishing nets and industrial plastic waste. The recycling process reduces the global warming impact of nylon by up to 90% compared to oil-based nylon production. For every 10,000 tons of raw material, an astounding 70,000 barrels of crude oil and 65,100 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions are saved.

XLANCE®

Elasticity, but make it strong.

XLANCE®, commonly referred to as Elastolefin, is a trademark of the production company CARVICO Group. It sets a new standard for elastic fibres. XLANCE® sources 100% of its electric power needs from renewable energy. It is resistant to heat, chemicals and UVA & UVB radiations, making it a very durable fibre. It displays impressive chemical and physical resistance, preventing fragmentation and microfibre shedding even after exposure to harsh agents, weathering, or ageing (unlike conventional Elastane, which releases an average of 20 g of microfibres per kg of fabric). It is heat set at a low temperature (120°C, against 185-190°C required for spandex) and the melt spinning process does not involve toxic solvents like DMAC or DMF.
